'General Hospital' Actress Kimberly McCullough Speaks About Her Miscarriage

For some bringing in a new year means remembering some hards times during the past year, and that's what General Hospital actress, Kimberly McCullough is dealing with. MStars News has learned that the star is speaking out about her recent miscarriage.

According to People Magazine, McCullough shared her sad news in a new blog over the weekend where she revealed that she lost a baby girl during the second trimester of her pregnancy right after her beloved dog, Melba died.

"This summer my beloved Melba passed away. She had a good run (she was 13yrs old) but I was a little sad she wasn't going to meet the baby... I had just found out I was pregnant," McCullough recalled. After that she revealed that the nurse had told her she was pregnant with a baby girl, and she wrote that the news "was probably the best day of my life thus far."

A few weeks later, the actress revealed that her heart was shattered when she lost her daughter. "My heart was so full and then it broke. I had lost my baby girl. It was too much. I didn't need to learn this lesson. I wasn't interested. But I wasn't in control," she wrote.

McCullough claimed that she was still healing from the loss and revealed that she miscarried at 22 weeks. Despite losing her child, and her beloved pet, the soap opera star does have a positive outlook. "One thing I am proud of however was that I allowed myself to be happy and to relish the moment. I sat in all that goodness and I can recall those feelings (when I'm having different ones) and hope that it can be like that again."

McCullough isn't the only celebrity MStars News has learned to have a miscarriage in 2015. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan had several miscarriages before welcoming their daughter in the fall. Rapper Bow Wow and his ex-fiancee, Erica Mena also revealed that they lost a baby earlier on in 2015.  Lil Wayne's ex-fling, Karrine Steffans, also suffered the loss of a baby (that was not the rapper's).
