The search for Country singer, Craig Strickland has ended.  His wife, Helen, has confirmed that his body was found "lying in the shape of a cross" in a long social media post she shared with fans not long ago.  The singer had gone missing after an accident during bad winter storm weather.

According to Us Weekly,  the singer's body was found in Bear Creek Cover.  In a lengthy, and sad Instagram post, Mrs. Strickland wrote: "Craig was found today. We can finally rest knowing that he is at Home in Heaven with his Father."

The former Miss Arkansas USA in 2014 added, "The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in."  She claimed that her husband didn't endure pain during his final moments. Strickland said that the love of her life simply fell asleep. She also revealed that he was found in a unique way that seemed to bring at least a small measure of peace to his widow. "They found him lying in the shape of a cross looking up to his Father."

Strickland thanked her husband's fans, and followers, and other concerned people ending her statement: "Thank you to every single person who prayed for him and our family during this time. There was not a more peaceful way for him to go into the arms of our Lord, and I know your prayers had a role in making that happen. I know he saw Jesus at that moment when he laid down and walked arm in arm with Him into a better Everlasting Life. I love you with all my heart Craig Michael."

MStars News previously reported that Strickland's wife, family, and friends had remained positive as they continued to search for the singer. By miracle, Strickland's beloved dog, Sam survived and was found alive days before Strickland's body was found.

We also learned that Strickland's friend, Chase Morland died on the hunting trip. He was found early on in the search.

Before the two men went duck hunting in the middle of a winter storm named Goliath, Morland tweeted: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma."  Tragically, those words are playing out as reality in a trip gone wrong.

Strickland was the lead vocalist for the group, Backroad Anthem. They too confirmed his death in a Facebook statement.

Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate. Craig was the most amazing person whose passion for life...
