NBCUniversal's 'Seeso': Comedy Streaming Channel: Sammy J & Randy In Ricketts Lane Premiere

NBCUniversal launches its own new advertising-free digital comedy channel, entitled Seeso. The comedy streaming channel will premiere new and original series, such as Sammy J & Randy In Ricketts Lane, Dave & Ethan: Love Makers, The Cyanide and Happiness Show and more

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBCUniversal is jumping into the streaming-video landscape with their planned launch of a comedy-focused subscription-video service. For $3.99 a month, Seeso offers up a mix of original series, exclusive content, and licensed material. Not only will viewers see both the American and British versions of The Office, the entire catalog of 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation will also be available.

Exec vp digital enterprises at NBCU, Evan Shapiro, states, "Big streaming services have created a paradox of choice - they're great if you know exactly what to watch, but if you aren't in the middle of a binge, the search can be near endless. By focusing on a specific yet large niche, and providing a curated experience, we can help viewers find good stuff they might not or cannot find. Seeso is your neighborhood comedy eatery, with daily specials from a chef you trust."
