Shaquille O'Neal: TV comedy superstar? The retired NBA legend and NBA on TNT panelist has announced a that he will be moving into the Veep-like scripted workplace comedy arena with Tru TV, having already er, 'conquered' basketball, movies, hip-hop, video games, web series, reality TV and the law. The former NBA All-Star center -- who's 7' 2" and (roughly) a kajillion pounds -- will helm the TV show loosely based around and inspired by his business empire, which already includes Soda Shaq, a jewelry line, 24-Hour Fitness clubs, Five Guys pizza chains and more, and his staff. At least, that's what the voting public for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game believe, with Golden State point guard Curry scoring more votes than Cleveland Cavaliers savior and four-time NBA MVP James. The NBA have announced the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star Game starters, including starry NBA names such as Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin. Hines Ward has called the New England Patriots cheaters, and blamed coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. 'The Dancing With The Stars' winner and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver also told The Today Show's Matt Lauer that he wants very harsh punishment to be leveled at the franchise as they gear up for the 2015 Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 1, and said that if the Patriots win Super Bowl 49, it will be tainted forever, he told Late Night With Seth Meyers. Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night, and the team report that he will fly back to LA to be examined by team doctors, missing the team's game against reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs this Friday. It raises the question of, after three straight seasons of major injuries whether or not, the 36 year old superstar will retire, or play out the last remaining year on his mammoth contract. Reports confirm that Violetta Degtiareva - an up-and-coming tennis star from Rostov, Russia - passed away after suddenly collapsing on the court during practice last week. The NFL's 'DeflateGate' has an update. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has said that he had no knowledge of the 11 of 12 game balls being under-inflated until he was told about it on Monday, adding that he was "shocked" by the news. He then left it to quarterback Tom Brady to explain his preferences, and that he has "no explanation for what happened." Baltimore Ravens player Chris Canty has said that DeflateGate is the same as using PEDs and is against the integrity of the game. The 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend Dunk Competition provisional contestants have been leaked, with a slew of young NBA talent set to thrill on All Star Saturday, taking place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City on February 14. 2015's NBA All-Star Weekend Dunk Contest will reportedly feature Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets, the Orlando Magic's Victor Oladipo, Zach Lavine of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Milwaukee Bucks 'Greek Freak', Giannis Antetokounmpo. There may still be other contestants - last year there were six - such as Philadelphia 76er KJ McDaniels and leading Rookie of the Year candidate and No. 1 NBA draft pick, Andrew Wiggins of the Wolves.
