The Orlando Magic have fired their terrible (by all statisitcal means) coach Jacque Vaughn. After three years and a 58-158 win-loss record, the underachieving NBA team have decided to move on from their "trusted friend and colleague" and architect of their current 10 game losing streak, according to the team. The Magic also fired assistant coaches Wes Unseld Jr., Brett Gunning and Zack Guthrie, Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan has announced. Magic assistant coach James Borrego will reportedly take over as interim coach, with the Magic sitting at 15 wins and 37 losses... the exact same record they had after 52 games last season. Spike Lee will finally be able to live out all of his Eddie fantasies: the New York Knicks most famous fan will be a coach for NBA All-Star weekend at Madison Square Garden. Well. The He Got Game director will be coaching the NBA All-Star Celebrity Challenge at least. Lee will be in command alongside actual basketball player, Knicks star and, um, entreprenuer Carmelo Anthony, and the two will be going head-to-head against ESPN's Mike & Mike (Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic) for some reason... that's not at all to do with the fact that ESPN are broadcasting the game. They'll be coaching celebrities such as loudmouth and 3-time celebrity game MVP Kevin Hart, Just Wright actor/rapper Common, Mariah Carey's ex-husband Nick Cannon, and NBA owner Robert Pera who isn't a celebrity. On Sunday Tom Brady tied Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw with four Super Bowl rings. The only man to own five is Charles Haley. And rampant third-person referrer Charles Haley says that Charles Haley believes Tom Brady is a cheater. NFL Hall of Famer, former San Francisco 49er and Dallas Cowboy defensive end Haley has taken aim at Brady and the New England Patriots with a bevy of ill-founded accusations and saying that Brady's four Super Bowl rings are "tainted" because he's a "cheat." Richard Sherman is now a new dad! MStars News has learned that Sherman's girlfriend, Ashley Lillian Moss gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby boy, on Thursday, Feb. 5. LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he can't spell for sh*t, having recently blamed his injured shoulder on "passing too much." Taking to The Tonight Show the 36 year old NBA legend also explained how he and Fallon used Kobe's status as a Laker in 1996 to buy beer -- when Kobe was still underage -- and chatted about Kobe's new Showtime documentary, Kobe Bryant's Muse, which airs on February 28. Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion has been arrested in Florida and found with 357 grams of marijuana, a firearm and over $190,000 in cash. 27 year old Guion was pulled over around 11 p.m. in his hometown of Starke, Florida and became "extremely uncooperative and hostile" when his truck was searched after an officer noticed the smell of marijuana. He was released on a $100k bond, and according to ESPN's Jason Wilde who reported the story, he's not likely to play for Green Bay again. Or get that cash back, one would believe. Read More »
"We Bruins now." Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus has announced that he's committed to attend UCLA next year.... Unfortunately, his rapper dad is a longtime fan of hated rival USC. Cordell, according to ESPN the 14th ranked wide receiver in this year's college recruiting class - and 130th overall - gives UCLA an "elite receiver"... and presumably some worthy pre and halftime entertainment options, leaving USC out in the cold with only PDAs between Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Reports confirm that Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested for possession of marijuana early Wednesday morning (February 4).
