Eminem's latest release, the Marshall Mathers LP 2 is receiving mostly rave reviews that seem to be almost compulsory. The reviews proclaim that the album is incredible in one sentence and then mention how the entire 79-minute run time is devoid of emotion or any resonance in th next. One can't help but wonder how much the reviews are letting Shady rest on his laurels, willing an okay album to greatness simply because they want it to be. Read More »

Eminem famously dealt with controversy over seemingly homphobic lyrics back in his early days, so it's a little weird to see him dodging the same allegations as a 41-year-old (about as weird as it is to hear an artist say "faggot" in their lyrics in 2013), but here we are. A boxing movie entitled Southpaw and starring Eminem as a left-handed boxer has been in the works for about 3 or 4 years now. The project has moved from studio to studio and lost the rapper as the lead actor, though director Antoine Fuqua ensures that Eminem is till heavily involved.
