Fox's upcoming Batman origin series, Gotham, is set for a 2014 - 2015 season pilot premiere and more casting news has the show moving along nicely into production. Though the series fill focus on a young James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Bruce Wayne will also appear in the series but as a young child. Fox's new series Gotham, based on the DC Comics character Batman's city in which he fights crime, is picking up a lot of steam with the recent casting of Jada Pinkett Smith. Will Smith's wife is set to portray one of the series' main villains in the origin story, opposite Ben McKenzie who was recently cast in the leading role of James Gordon. Read More »
Fox's new origin series, Gotham, based on the Batman universe of characters has cast its leading man. Ben McKenzie of The O.C. and Southland will star as Jim Gordon, whom we all know eventually becomes the Commissioner of Gotham and Batman's accomplice in cleaning up the city. This new show already has a series commitment order from Fox, so this is a huge deal for McKenzie. Read More »

In order to do this, a pilot must be ordered for a pitched show and, from there, the process can either move forward into a series or get canned before really get off the ground.
