According to new rumors and reports, Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, is practicing at the Los Angeles Lakers' training facility. Apparently, the 35-year-old small forward and notorious courtside brawler could be making a comeback to the NBA and join the team he won the 2010 Championship with, which is the same team that sent him to the New York Knicks a few years later. The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add forward DeMarcus Cousins to their team. There's one problem though. Kings Coach George Karl is all for the trade but owner Vivek Ranadive feels otherwise. Ranadive believes Cousins should stay home with the Kings. His mantra goes against the reason why the team hired Karl. LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he can't spell for sh*t, having recently blamed his injured shoulder on "passing too much." Taking to The Tonight Show the 36 year old NBA legend also explained how he and Fallon used Kobe's status as a Laker in 1996 to buy beer -- when Kobe was still underage -- and chatted about Kobe's new Showtime documentary, Kobe Bryant's Muse, which airs on February 28. Kobe Bryant will likely miss the rest of the NBA season after getting surgery on his torn rotator cuff today, according to reports -- with the news coming just after the star revealed he wanted to join Michael Jordan in Washington in the early '00s. The L.A. Lakers star tore his rotator cuff while dunking against the New Orleans Pelicans last week, and the team now expect him to miss the rest of 2015 NBA season. But will he retire? His coach, teammates, former teammates and this "close to hm" believe he will play on in 2015-16, say The LA Times. It will be the third straight season Kobe has had his season cut short by injury. Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night, and the team report that he will fly back to LA to be examined by team doctors, missing the team's game against reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs this Friday. It raises the question of, after three straight seasons of major injuries whether or not, the 36 year old superstar will retire, or play out the last remaining year on his mammoth contract.
