Maybe an Eminem and Kendrick Lamar collaboration isn't totally out of the question... especially since the Black Hippy rapper appears to totally respect the hip-hop King of Detroit! Lamar's "best rap diss ever" on Big Sean's new song "Control" doesn't take a jab at the "Without Me" superstar... instead, it praises him. Check it out... Read More »
I'll admit after hearing "Fugitive Air," the first track off of Of Montreal's upcoming album lousy with sylvianbriar, I was nervous. Sure, the track sounded like old-school 60s-loving OM, but the band had broken my heart by devolving into psych-pop wonkery before and I was damned if I was going to let it happen twice. But now that "She Ain't Speaking Now," a late Beatles-aping acoustic-electric slice of sunshine pop, has dropped I can finally get excited for Of Montreal again. Read More »
John Mayer and Frank Ocean first collaborated last year for Ocean's (instant classic) Channel Orange. The song that they made "White" clocked in at a meaty 1:16. Ocean has returned the favor and then some, appearing on the Mayer track "Wildfire" from his upcoming album Paradise Valley. "Wildfire" runs for 1:24. Read More »

saying that (on account of her being 16), Lorde has released the cover artwork and tracklist for her debut album Pure Heroine. That album's title is just as full of ridiculous winks as everything else we've heard from the New Zealand teenager, but she's super-talented and just a kid so...what can ya do? PH will contain her smash singles "Royals" and "Tennis Court" as well as eight other tracks. Read More »
Miley Cyrus is still riding high off the success of her record-breaking single "We Can't Stop," but that doesn't mean she's going to put out a lackluster album and hope that the single carries it. On Monday (August 12), ARTPOP songstress Lady Gaga debuted her highly-anticipated new single "Applause." Mother Monster wasn't too happy when the tune leaked online an entire week early, but things seemed to be going just fine over the weekend when Gaga was spotted out on a date with her main squeeze, Taylor Kinney. Of course, the 27-year-old beauty's revealing (and rather bizarre) ensemble is what really stole the show! Gaga and Kinney hit-up LA's popular Chateau Marmont on Saturday night... with the "Born this Way" crooner flaunting a sheer bodysuit clearly revealing her black thong and bra. Yup - Mother Monster's officially back! Read More »

It's been a good year for unreleased (and released, lest I anger Yeezus lovers) early work from Kanye West. First, we had the never-before-heard demos that hit the Internet in April. Then, Q-Tip premeired a previously unheard Billy Joel-sampling clip during a Red Bull Academy lecture. Now, we have tracks featuring Yeezy before any of that. These clips go way back, when Kanye was a member of a group called The Go Getters. Check out Kanye with GLC, Timmy G, and Arrowstar with clips from the group's unreleased album. Read More »
Panic! At The Disco have released the album artwork and tracklist for their new album Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die (Good to see that P!ATD are still aiming for that 13-18 demo by cribbing from teenagers' favorite recently discovered book/movie Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas). Read More »
As far as fans know, Eminem did not perform new music at G-Shock's exclusive "Shock the World" event in NYC last week. But rumors surrounding the release date for the Detroit rapper's highly-anticipated 2013 album still dominate the web - perhaps the record will hit stores this Labor Day (September 2)? As Slim Shady loyalists express their enthusiasm on Twitter, some parents are not too happy with the promoters of the new children's flick, "Despicable Me 2." Em's hit song "Without Me" is featured in a few of the film trailers, and several youngsters found the tune rather catchy. But when Mom and Dad did some digging, they discovered that the true lyrics were rather vulgar and inappropriate. Cause for concern, or really no biggie? Read More »
