I'll admit after hearing "Fugitive Air," the first track off of Of Montreal's upcoming album lousy with sylvianbriar, I was nervous. Sure, the track sounded like old-school 60s-loving OM, but the band had broken my heart by devolving into psych-pop wonkery before and I was damned if I was going to let it happen twice. John Mayer and Frank Ocean first collaborated last year for Ocean's (instant classic) Channel Orange. The song that they made "White" clocked in at a meaty 1:16. John Mayer will officially release his new album entitled "Paradise Valley" on August 20, 2013. On Tuesday (August 13) the highly-anticipated 2013 record became available to stream in its entirety via iTunes. Then, Q-Tip premeired a previously unheard Billy Joel-sampling clip during a Red Bull Academy lecture. Now, we have tracks featuring Yeezy before any of that. But rumors surrounding the release date for the Detroit rapper's highly-anticipated 2013 album still dominate the web - perhaps the record will hit stores this Labor Day (September 2)? As Slim Shady loyalists express their enthusiasm on Twitter, some parents are not too happy with the promoters of the new children's flick, "Despicable Me 2."
