Cage The Elephant have returned with the first single off of their upcoming new album Melophobia and it is an interesting depature from the band's typical brand of balls-out southern fried rawk. "Come A Little Closer" is a spacy number with mellow ahhhs throughout. That's not saying that Cage The Elephant have gone experimental- the track stays grounded in that it sounds like a David Bowie track had Bowie been a member of a Kentucky bar band- but it is a compelling turn from a band known for songs like "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" and "Back Against The Wall." Just a few months ago, Dr. Dre revealed that Eminem was "finishing up" work on his highly-anticipated 2013 album... now that Shady's set to embark on a mini-tour of Europe, does that mean the rapper's eighth studio record is officially COMPLETED? Although G-Shock provided no live stream for Eminem's exclusive performance at NYC's "Shock the World" party on Wednesday (August 7), several fan-made videos of the concert have since gone viral on Youtube. And as far as we can tell, Slim Shady did NOT perform any new music from his highly-anticipated upcoming album. Perhaps audience members were told not to share Em's fresh material... or maybe he just stuck to the oldies? NOT TRUE! Parts of the annual music event will be broadcasted live online, and Slim Shay IS a confirmed performer, but fans won't be able to watch his rap set from the comforts of their computer.
