Warner Bros. Pictures has released the Official Teaser Trailer for The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. After stepping away from the horror genre with Furious 7, director James Wan steps right back, alongside Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising the roles in the 2016 movie.

As we perviously mentioned, Wan revealed that The Conjuring 2 is a direct continuation of the first installment, "I've been working very heavily on the script, and the idea of continuing the saga of Ed and Lorraine Warren is actually very exciting. So the idea of going back to kind of nurture my baby that I created is part of the reason why I'm going back to do The Conjuring 2. And in some ways it'll be like a holiday break for me after this film."

According to Variety, the period piece sequel is set somewhere in Rhode Island, sometime in 1971. The narrative happens to be based on the work of real-life paranormal investigators Ed (Wilson) and Lorraine (Farmiga) Warren. During a conversation with Lorraine, the spooky little girl says to chillingly, "It said it wants to hurt you. Right now." Inside a bleak countryside, there is a rotating crucifix on a wall and a shadowy figure about to pounce on the unsuspecting victim.

Though the horror sequel was originally set for a pre-Halloween release on Oct. 23, 2015, New Line Cinema thought it would be best to put the release onto the summer. Because horror movies make us think of bikinis and beaches? We will have to wait and see how this retro thriller will do at the box office.

On the official Twitter, the caption states, "Ed and Lorraine Warren are back for a whole new haunting. Watch #TheConjuring2 teaser trailer now."

The Conjuring 2 hits theaters this summer on June 10, 2016.
