Steve Harvey infamously crowned Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez as Miss Universe 2015, only to announce later that she was the runner-up and the real Miss Universe was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. After the gaffe, Harvey sat down with Gutierrez to settle the mishap once and for all and was told to learn how to read!

The 59-year-old host has been open about wanting to fix the problem with the beauty queen. Cosmopolitan reported that he wanted to talk to Gutierrez but his calls were never returned, but he finally got his chance!

According to E! News, when Gutierrez arrived on the Steve Harvey Show, they talked about what happened to the last segment of the pageant and she even gave him an advice.

"You have to learn how to read cards, because it was on the card," the 22-year-old model told Harvey and the crowd laughed including the host. "You wanted me to win.”

Harvey then played along saying, "Yes! I wanted you to win. I can leave it at that."

The Colombian actress then revealed that at first she thought Harvey was telling a joke and she was even seen laughing as the embarrassed Harvey went back up on stage.

"I was laughing. If you see the videos, I was laughing, because I thought you were about to make a joke," Guttierrez explained.

She managed to crack some jokes to ease up the tension in the room, probably trying to make it easier for the comedian, knowing that he had been beating himself up for his mistake during the annual event.

"You're the one person that I really wanted to talk to," Harvey said before he started tearing up. "I just want to say how sorry I am. I really am. I'm beyond sorry for what happened that night and that it was you."
