'24: Legacy' Spoilers: Will Kiefer Sutherland/Jack Bauer Find Closure After Live Another Day?

The clock will be ticking again as Fox plans a spinoff from their popular 24 franchise. With ex-CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) return in the 24: Legacy spinoff for closure after the cliffhanger ending in 24: Live Another Day?

As we previously mentioned, Fox is developing a 24 spinoff, which would revolve around a new twenty-something male terrorist hunter. The spinoff will follow the traditional 24 format, each episode represents an hour of a single day. Manny Coto and Evan Katz will serve as writers and executive producers. Fox will most likely launch the spinoff as a limited series, much like Live Another Day. Sutherland would most likely have no involvement in the series as Bauer.

We also mentioned, Fox has ordered the pilots of Shots Fired and three early drama pilot order, which includes 24: Legacy, Lee Daniels' music coming-of-age project, and Dan Fogelman's baseball-themed Pitch. In the season finale of Live Another Day, Jack sacrificed himself for Chloe and surrendered himself to a Russian prison.

Though he is in talks to serve as an executive producer on the project, plus playing The President in the ABC pilot Designated Survivor, will audiences find out what happened to Jack after that cliffhanger?

According to TV Line, in his Q&A with TIFF Artistic Director Cameron Bailey, Sutherland states , "I have no idea if the [24] movie will ever happen, or Jack Bauer might end up finding his way into an episode one day and clarifying all of that, or ending all of that,"

The Young Guns actor praises the Legacy creators, "Whether we end up working together on it or not, I'll be one of the first people who can't wait to see it," Sutherland said. "I have every faith they'll do something cool and clever."

The 24 spinoff is currently in its pilot stages.
