The Arrow/The Flash spinoff TV series DC's Legends of Tomorrow already has a laundry list of superheroes and villains who must work together to defeat a common enemy. It was recently reported that the show will add Jonah Hex to its lineup, and it looks like they have just found the perfect actor who can play well with Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer/The Atom and Caitz Lotz's Sara Lance/White Canary!

According to Hitfix, The CW has just cast Quarantine star Johnathon Schaech as the scar-faced cowboy who will help the superheroes find a way to defeat Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). The report adds that Hex is actually aware about time-travelling but chooses to stay in the Old West because, well...his hobbies include gunslinging, bounty hunting and taking care of outlaws in the worst possible ways.

It's no surprise that Hex has been added to the Legends roster, especially since executive producer Mark Guggenheim has just admitted it was an idea they had for the show since its inception.

"Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West. But if you're going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply MUST include Jonah Hex in it," he said, adding that he is excited to see the character brought to life onscreen.

"We're thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television," Guggenheim said.

Schaech will appear as Hex in the 11th episode of Legends of Tomorrow, but don't expect his appearance to be a one-shot deal. The CW plans to bring Hex back in future episodes, possibly in the second season.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow also stars Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl and Falk Henstchel as Hawkman. The series will premiere on The CW on January 21.
