'Fresh Prince of Bel Air's' Aunt Viv, Jane Hubert, Says Nene Leakes is "Rachet"

Janet Hubert has no problems calling anybody out on foolishness. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air's Aunt Viv has been in the news recently for speaking out against Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith for asking fellow Hollywood actors and actresses to boycott The Oscars. The 60-year-old actress made a video stating that she feels Smith's actions are rather suspicious.  Now Aunt Viv has someone new to set straight, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes.  On social media Hubert called Leakes "rachet" and fumed about her being on Broadway.

Hubert is known to not hold her tongue and after Smith declared that she will be boycotting The Oscars the actress let her have it. According to Page Six, the 60-year-old actress is fed up with the Hollywood couple. "The Smiths just irked me because they are such pretenders, and everything is a photo op," Hubert told the Los Angeles Times. "How dare you ask other actors to jeopardize their positions," she dished. "Take it from me... I was blacklisted. Black listed, truly. I couldn't feed my child. They left me penniless, homeless and worthless. But what I always had was my dignity and I always will."

With regards to Lakes, the actress simply thinks that the reality star is ratchet and that the black community is celebrating the wrong ideals.  What was surprising is that the actress included the reality star in her rant.

"Did you know NeNe Leakes made it on Broadway before Janet Hubert? Something's wrong with the whole system of bad behavior being rewarded," she said. "I think in the black community, ratchet has became the new black, ghetto has become the new black."

While Hubert is not scared of speaking up, we know that her remarks about Leakes will likely not go without a response. The reality star is similar to the actress when it comes to being outspoken and is quick to respond when someone speaks negatively about her.  Many people have spoken out about reality shows giving society negative portrayals of the black community. Hubert is not the first to do so but it's safe to say that she has reintroduced this controversial discussion to the public eye.
