Yet another big name has contributed their opinion to the Oscars diversity issue. President Obama gave his two cents on the issue during an interview with a group of reporters earlier this week, saying he believes Hollywood "should do what every other industry should do."

More specifically, President Obama told reporters that he thinks the industry should "look for talent, provide opportunity to everybody," adding that the issue is "just an expression of this broader issue of: Are we making sure that everybody is getting a fair shot?"

Obama went on to say, "I think when everybody's story is told, then that makes for better art. That makes for better entertainment. It makes everybody feel part of one American family."

Obama's diplomatic comments come after a string of celebrities - Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith, Spike Lee, and more - have called for a boycott of this year's Oscars after a huge of lack of diversity amongst this year's nominees was revealed.

The ruckus caused President of the Academy, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, to issue forth multiple big changes to the membership of the Academy in order to hopefully increase diversity.

"The Academy is going to lead and not wait for the industry to catch up," Isaacs said of the changes. She continued, "These new measures regarding governance and voting will have an immediate impact and begin the process of significantly changing our membership composition."

In the latest series of this ongoing saga, Academy members are now stepping forward to express their displeasure at the changes and the insinuations that they are racist.

One such member, Penelope Ann Miller, told The Hollywood Reporter, "I voted for a number of black performers, and I was sorry they weren't nominated. But to imply that this is because all of us are racists is extremely offensive."

The Academy Awards will premiere live on ABC on Feb. 28.
