DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Falk Hentschel's Carter Hall/Hawkman Twist!

The CW Network aired both parts of the highly anticipated pilot of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist behind the Carter Hall aka Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and his beloved Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).

In our recent recap, the heroes and villains of Arrow and The Flash have teamed-up to go up against a darker threat known as Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). While Martin Stein had to fix the timeline after his younger self failed to meet his future wife, Hawkman discovered where the ancient dagger was hidden. Unfortunately, Hawkman learned too late that only Hawkgirl can use the dagger. After Vandal stabbed Hawkman to death, Hawkgirl's true feelings for his long lost love finally resurfaced.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim explains the decision to kill off Hawkman, "We've got the character of Kendra, who basically was drawn into this world very inexperienced with it, not a lot of recall with her past lives, not really any experience of being a superhero. Her one compass or one mentor was Carter. The idea of taking that support system away from her right from the very beginning, we saw a lot of story potential in that."
