The CW Network continues with the pilot premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In episode 2, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) join White Canary (Caity Lotz) as they take the fight to Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) in Pilot Part 2.

Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) has figured out the next location Vandal Savage will be. Savage is selling a nuclear weapon to arms dealers and terrorists. The plan is buy the bomb at the premises, but they never expected Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough) to show up at the buy.

During the buy, Vandal notices something strange, sensing Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) in the room. After figuring out Stein is a fraud, everyone starts fighting. The Atom (Brandon Routh) ends up losing a piece of his shrinking tech while the nuclear bomb starts a countdown. Firestorm (Franz Drameh) takes the nuclear weapon far away and absorbs the explosion upon detonation.

Hunter reveals to the team that because of Ray's missing piece, they accidentally start the apocalypse in 2016. The team needs to get back the missing piece and find the dagger that killed Hawkman and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) in their past life. Though they are destined be together, Hawkgirl doesn't have any feelings for Hawkman.

In order to track down Ray's missing piece, Martin Stein (Victor Garber) needs to find his younger self and uses his equipment. His younger self ends up putting the moves on White Canary. Martin warns White Canary not to use her sexiness and tempt his young self; he's supposed to meet with his future wife.

Heat Wave, Captain Cold, and Ray team together to break inside the mansion. Unfortunately, Ray stops Captain Cold from stealing the other artifacts, which leads to a scuffle and them tripping the alarm. A cage falls on top of them, trapping the two together.

While White Canary knocks out younger Martin Stein, Heat Wave ends up getting captured by Vandal Savage, who happens to be the owner of the mansion.  Knowing they are time travelers, Vandal relishes the fight and asks Ray to call for back-up.

After White Canary fights her way and retrieves Palmer's missing item, Martin Stein realizes his wedding ring is missing. It turns out instead of meeting the love of his life, younger Martin followed them to the spaceship. The team is needed elsewhere as they end up at the mansion.

A fight ensues as Firestorm hits Vandal with a nuclear blast. Hawkman stabs Vandal Savage with the dagger but it doesn't hurt him. Hawk girl has to be the one holding the dagger to deliver the deathblow. Savage then strikes back and uses the dagger against him killing him.

The team arrives in the nick of time to save Hawkgirl after Vandal cuts her with the dagger. After being taken to the medical bay, Hawkgirl cries for Hawkman, realizing her feelings for him have come back. Rip does a favor for Martin and gets his wedding ring back. His younger self meets the woman he will fall in love with and marry.

In honor of Hawkman, the team continues with the fight against Vandal Savage.
