Fans of Supergirl simply cannot stop talking about the possibility of having Tom Welling appear as Clark Kent in the CBS show. Now it looks like the Smallville star has heard the pleas and has spoken up about Superman's cameo in Melissa Benoist's hit series!

Welling recently spoke to Access Hollywood and confirms that he's heard about the budding rumors. But he has not yet been contacted by Supergirl's producers.

"Yeah! I've gotten a lot of questions about that, and the funny thing is, I've never been asked," Welling admitted. "They've never asked me. So, we'll see."

Welling also revealed that he likes the CBS series.

"It's a great show; I've seen it," he said.

But is it good enough for Welling to put on the Superman costume once again? The actor joked that the producers should give him a heads up to prepare.

"I might need a little notice!" Welling said.

Welling might not need too much help. After all, he has played Superman on Smallville from 2001 to 2011. The actor's performance as the young Man of Steel has earned him several award nominations and he has won the Teen Choice Award for Breakout Male Star in 2002. Hopefully, the producers of Supergirl will eventually contact the actor to reprise the role.

But before Superman makes an appearance in the show, another member of the Justice League will be paying Kara Danvers a visit. It has just been announced that Grant Gustin will appear in a special Supergirl crossover episode as The CW's The Flash character Barry Allen.

Although there hasn't been enough information about the crossover just yet, it has been confirmed that Gustin's episode will air on March 28.

After playing Supergirl on the CW show, Laura Vandervoot will make an appearance on the new CBS drama in episode 15.

Supergirl airs on CBS every Monday night at 8pm.
