Gwyneth Paltrow Friend Zones Chris Martin After Divorce: Coldplay Frontman Like a Brother

Nearly two years after Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their divorce through the still-controversial term "conscious uncoupling," the Marvel actress and Goop owner has made things awkward again with the press while talking about her ex husband. In a recent interview, 43-year-old Paltrow said that Martin, the father of her two children, was like a "brother" to her. They were no longer a couple but friend zoning her ex still seems a bit odd.

The actress, entrepreneur and mom recently sat down with Glamour to talk about the expansion of her Goop newsletter, which has been growing rapidly over the past few years as she becomes Martha Stewart's nemesis. During the interview, she was asked how her relationship with former husband Martin has been since the divorce, and Paltrow, ever so candid, spilled the beans on how it's like for the exes.

"We're not living together, but he's more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa: I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids," Paltrow told the outlet. "We'll have a weekend all together; holidays, we're together. We're still very much a family, even though we don't have a romantic relationship. He's like my brother."

The Iron Man actress also said that Martin was welcome to sleep in at her home with the children whenever he wanted, and she did the same at his place. Which is a fairly odd state of affair for exes, but it seems to work out for them!

According to Los Angeles Times, the Oscar winner also called Martin a "great ex husband" because he was willing to still be a family despite the fact they don't have romantic feelings towards each other anymore.

Paltrow and Martin married in late 2003 and had two children together, Apple and Moses. The two announced they were splitting after a decade of marriage in early 2014, and their split has been very amicable, though their divorce is not final yet.
