The second half of Gotham Season 2 is turning out to be a chilly one, as the FOX show welcomes two new DC Comics supervillains in a brand new TV promo. Nathan Darrow's Mr. Freeze may be the main focus of the teaser, but the highlight is a quick glimpse of Jurassic World star BD Wong as Hugo Strange!

The Wrath of the Villains teaser reveals the icy effects of Victor Friese's freeze ray, which creates ice cubes out of just about everything from bullets to a few Gotham City police officers. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) isn't quite sure what to make of it while Selina (Camren Bicondova) tries to sneak into a mysterious lair. In the end, it is Strange who describes the new chapter of Gotham as he says, "Troubled times."

In the comic books, Hugo Strange is one of Batman's most dangerous adversaries due to his high intellect and knowledge in psychology. A gifted inventor, he once created gigantic zombies to wreak havoc all over Gotham and is also responsible for a powder that induces fear. Strange is also one of the first villains who discovered that Batman is actually Bruce Wayne.

Interestingly, Gotham's version of Strange actually works for Wayne Enterprise, where he is a part of the secret division known only as Indian Hill. True to form, Wong's Strange conducts experiments on people with superpowers.

Wong is definitely a welcome addition to Gotham. The Tony Award winner has appeared in several films like Jurassic Park, Seven Years in Tibet and The Salton Sea. His most recent TV appearance was in the highly acclaimed cyber drama series Mr. Robot, where he played the transgendered Dark Army leader Whiterose. Wong was nominated for the Critic's Choice Award for Best Guest Actor/Actress in a Drama Series for his performance in the USA Network show, despite only appearing for less than 10 minutes.

Gotham Season 2 will return to FOX on February 29.
