Since  his appearance as an engineering student in 3 idiots, R Madhavan has been poured with offers in Bollywood. He is already an established actor in the South Indian film industry. Although, the sensible actor, who had a slow beginning in the Bollywood film world, says his characteristics are limited and he cannot be in the league of the reigning A-listers like Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman Khan.

In his recent interview to IBN Live, Madhavan said that he is more like a local champion, who is good in his field of work. He is not considering himself as a world champion, referring to the Khans of Bollywood, since he cannot do many onscreen activities like them.

"I choose my subject differently and I am blessed to get love and affection from people for such roles too... I think that's a victory. I can't become Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan and I don't deserve to be like that. For instance, if I am the local level champion, I can't call myself world level champion. (But) yes, it is possible to achieve that in future in some form or the other," Madhavan added.

Madhavan further stated that he has a limited set of attributes and is bounded by certain characteristics. He cannot sing and dance or have a body to die for like the superstars have. But his choice to star in films that entertain people in the right way is what keeps him going in both the industries, he confessed. With his recent release Saala Khadoos, Madhavan says that he is trying to achieve greater lengths.

These days, any actor would do many marketing events or TV stints to earn extra exposure. But Madhavan also said that not only he knows his limits. Also, he is sure that he can only do any TV show if the producer or the channel will provide him some good money.

According to reports by Indian Express, Madhavan said he will take up any TV offer if the producers are willing to pay him well. He said that he is a film star and wants to be known for his films only. Money for him isn't the main issue when he signs a film. He said he would consider it for small screen projects, like he does for his advertisements.

"I can think of doing TV shows if the money is good. A film star is a film star, and you can't take that away. Hence, I don't think about money when I do films, but I will do it for TV like the way I do it for endorsements."
