Season 5 of Suits continues on USA Network after its midseason premiere. In Episode 14, will lawyers Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) need Self Defense due to the fallout from Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty)?

In court, Trevor has to take the stand for the prosecution. Gibbs asks if Mike and Trevor have spoken before the trial. In the flashback, Trevor reveals Gibbs has so much on him; they're going to rip him to shreds behind bars.

Harvey tells Jessica (Gina Torres) that Mike wants to represent himself, but he has a plan. Jessica knows if Mike handles the case, they will both go to trial.  Harvey wants to show Mike how outmatched he is if they go on a trial run.

Mike meets with an old friend, Harold, who is willing to lie on the witness stand. In the trial run, Mike and Harvey give their opening speeches. When Harvey takes the stand, Mike grills him and makes a fool out of him. Harvey kicks back and makes harsh accusations against him.

Gibbs meets with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and promises to hit him with witness tampering. As Harvey and Mike ague in the bathroom, Louis tells Jessica about his confrontation with Gibbs. Jessica notices Louis is a nervous wreck, leaves the office, and heads straight towards Gibbs. Donna smiles as Mike leaves the office.

Jessica hands in a restraining order to Gibbs, but she remains unfazed. Mike meets with Jimmy, asking him to commit perjury. Unfortunately, Jimmy turns him down because he doesn't want to go to jail for him.

In Argentina, Sheila (Rachael Harris) calls Louis, warning him that she has been caught. Mike is furious that he picked Rachel (Meghan Markle) as his witness. As the argument continues, Mike asks Rachel if he should represent himself. Rachel is with him, no matter what decision Mike makes.

Mike is unable to prevent Rachel from taking the stand. Harvey then makes it known that Rachel cheated on Mike. Both Louis and Harvey start arguing with Jessica when Gibbs shows up. With the trial moved up, Jessica promises to Gibbs that she will say Mike is the best Harvard-educated lawyer she has ever met.

Donna comforts Rachel, reminding her how Harvey is able to forget he's dealing with a person. Rachel tells Mike that the jury needs to hate Harvey, just like she did. After Gibbs questions Trevor, Harvey takes him down as a drug dealer, promising to bring in Jenny. Trevor admits that he was jealous of Mike the entire time.

With her turn next, Donna is worried she might have to lie; Jessica says they'll never know. After Donna pleads the fifth, Jimmy makes a nod to Harvey, takes the stand, and admits Mike was in class with him. After Gibbs grills Jimmy, Donna tells Rachel that she crumbled.

Harvey tells Mike the bad news, they don't have reasonable doubt. Harvey realizes Mike has to be his own lawyer because if he doesn't, they are going to lose. Gibbs confronts Louis, earning him that they're going to lose the trail.
