The year 2016 can be the year of sex-comedies in Bollywood. Recently released Mastizaade featuring Sunny Leone and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3 featuring Tusshar Kapoor has already created a buzz. Now, Indian producer, Ekta Kapoor is bringing another sex-comedy film, Great Grand Masti and it looks like the film's content is too vulgar for Indian Censor Board.

It was earlier reported by MStars News that Great Grand Masti or Masti 3 has faced a major setback from the censor board as the board had decided to refuse to certify the film altogether.

Now according to Spotboye, after the denial from the censor board, Ekta, who produced the film under her banner, Balaji Motion Pictures, has decided to now approach the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal. When a feature film is denied by the censor board, the production team and director usually approached the board with a revision, But now Ekta and film's director Indra Kumar has decided to skip the revision process and has decided to directly approach the Tribunal to appeal for its certification.

"Ekta felt that the RC would probably reject the film, much like the censor board. So, she saw no point in going to them and just delaying the entire process. She decided to take the matter directly to the Tribunal."

Masti 3 is is directed by Indra, who earlier directed Masti and Grand Masti. Masti was released in 2004 and it featured Ritesh Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Tara Sharma, Genelia D'Souza and Ajay Devgan. The film received the positive response from critics, and also managed to do well at the box office. The sequel, Grand Masti was released in 2013 and according to KoiMoi.com, the film which was made against a budget of $4 million dollars earned more than $14 million dollars at the domestic box office. The film was given a super hit verdict after its theatrical run.

Masti 3 was earlier supposed to release in mid-2016 but now with this major issue, there is no official release date of the film from the production team.
