It might have been all about the Master Jailer in the 14th episode of Supergirl, but "Truth, Justice and the American Way" also introduced Italia Ricci as CatCo's newest recruit Siobhan Smythe. Although Robbie Amell's fiancée still looks like any good-looking girl in the episode, she will eventually be revealed as the terrifying DC supervillain Silver Banshee!

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Ricci spoke about her Supergirl character, who will appear in several episodes throughout the series.

"They have chosen bits and pieces of her story to stay loyal to," Ricci said of Silver Banshee. "I feel like they've done her story justice, revealing enough of the history and what she's currently dealing with. I'm interested to see how fans are going to take it."

The Chasing Life star also admitted that she enjoyed playing the supervillain, who is expected to spell trouble as another Supergirl nemesis, as well as a colleague for Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).

"She's scary, but kind of crazy. She's very powerful and looks the way the name sounds, which is very cool," Ricci confirmed. "She definitely shows up and wreaks havoc on a lot of the relationships the show has spent so many beautiful episodes making important and meaningful. In comes Siobhan, literally like a whirlwind, and cuts all of them up. And professionally, she considers Kara a rival."

However, there is no rivalry between Ricci and longtime fiancé Amell, who also happens to play the DC character Firestorm/Deathstorm in the CW series The Flash. Ricci admitted that she and Amell are thrilled about being able to play comic book characters.

"We certainly geek out," she shared. "'In what world are we both superheroes and supervillains?' We're in the same universe, at the same time. We just sort of keep shaking our heads, 'Is this real?'"

Catch Ricci as Siobhan/Silver Banshee in Supergirl, which airs on CBS every Monday nights.
