Anushka Sharma To Work With Diljit Dosanjh After 'Sultan' in 'Phillauri' [WATCH]

After the success of her first production venture NH 10, actress Anushka Sharma is back in the stride with her second production project titled Phillauri, featuring the actress herself along with the Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh and Life of Pi famed actor Suraj Sharma. The film will be co-produced by Fox Star Studios.

Sharma made an announcement on her Twitter account by tweeting, "Happy 2 announce our next production venture - PHILLAURI, with @foxstarhindi & costarring @diljitdosanjh, Suraj Sharma."

An exceptional romantic story from Phillaur, Punjab, Phillauri will be made by newbie director Anshai Lal. Talking about the film's story, the actress told The Indian Express, "Phillauri has a unique premise. It took almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete this love story, and that's the crux of the film."

Phillauri will be Dosanjh's second Bollywood film after Udta Punjab featuring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor is currently busy promoting for his upcoming Punjabi film Ambarsariya' which releases in March.

The shooting of Phillauri is likely to begin in April. Talking about co-producing the film with Sharma's production house Clean Slate Films, Fox Star Studios CEO Vijay Singh shared with Times of India, "Anushka Sharma is a phenomenal actress and has proven that she is a producer par excellence with her brave first film. We are thrilled to be working with her."

The 27-year-old actress will commence shooting after completing her film Sultan along with superstar Salman Khan, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Fawad Khan.

Quite a busy year for the actress, it seems like Sharma intends to focus on her career. The actress was in the limelight lately for her break-up with cricketer Virat Kohli. Though none of them have spoken about it, the silence is not hard to guess.
