If there were something fans desperately needed for over two months, it was a confirmation of rumours of a break-up between Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. And Vicky Donor star Ayushmann Khurrana, just gave them some tease!

At the recently concluded cricket match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2016, which India won by a whisker, Kohli was seen taking single runs to lead his team towards victory. Perhaps in fear of getting declared run-out, Khurrana had an interesting tweet to share.

According to DNA India, Khurrana immediately took to Twitter to write a post, which subtly hinted at Kohli's breakup with the girlfriend of two years, Sharma. His post mentioned that the cricketer is playing only single runs ,since he is single in real life. And that put all speculations to rest finally.

The start of the year 2016 saw a series of break-ups between celebrities, which included power couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who were shooting for Jagga Jasoos, Farhan Akhtar and hairstylist wife Adhuna Akhtar and MTV Roadies star Raghu Ram and wife Sugandha Garg.

Sharma and Kohli, too, were going through a rough patch in their relationship and wanted to call it quits. They had even posted several individual pictures on the snap-sharing site, Instagram, to let the world know of their single status.

A few days ago, it was reported by MStars News that the cricket star was doing everything he could to win his lady's love back. But that did not happen; instead news of a break-up confirmation came out. Khurrana will soon be seen in YRF's Meri Pyaari Bindu with Parineeti Chopra, who has also sung for the film.

Sharma, last seen in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, is acting her wrestling moves for Salman Khan-starrer Sultan, set for release on Eid sometime this year.
