They played the star-crossed lovers in Aashiqui 2, who were torn between love and ambition, and won accolades for their performances and their chemistry post the film's release. Now actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen together, scorching the screens again with Ok Jaanu.

The young actors sizzled on the big screen with Mohit Suri's 2013 hit film Aashiqui 2, which was a rehashed version of the 1990 cult film Aashiqui, starring then-debutant actors Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The film was a huge hit and made both the newcomers known names in the industry.

Aditya and Shraddha, too, with their realistic act, became household names after they appeared in Aashiqui 2. Now, ace Bollywood director Karan Johar, who launched many newcomers in the film industry, has given a sneak peek into the upcoming film Ok Jaanu starring the Aashiqui 2 couple.

According to a news report on NDTV, Ok Jaanu is set to be directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Karan's Dharma Productions. The film is an official remake of 2015 hit Tamil film Ok Kanmani, which starred Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in lead roles.

Karan shared the first-look poster of the film on Twitter, which was widely appreciated by fans and movie bigwigs alike. Aditya and Shraddha are lost in a cute embrace in the picture, which instantly went viral the moment it was put up on Karan's official Twitter page.

As per the caption posted by Johar, Ok Jaanu seems to be a wonderful combination of greatness and cuteness both rolled into one. The Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman will handle the music direction department for the film while the veteran Gulzaar will pen the lyrics for the movie's songs.

The Tamil version was directed by Mani Ratnam and he will be seen helping out Shaad with Ok Jaanu. It remains to be seen how the film turns out to be once it is ready for release on the big screens.
