CBS and the CW Network have released the promo art for the epic crossover between DC Comics' Supergirl and The Flash. In the upcoming episode, check out what Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) are up to in the plot synopsis.

As we previously mentioned, online picture surfaced of Silver Banshee/Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci) and Livewire (Brit Morgan) in costume. Also in their outfits, the scarlet speedster and Superman's cousin appear to be having fun fighting crime as they high-five each other. While filming their scenes together, the two appear to be goofing around on and off camera.

According to Deadline, in the episode directed by Nick Gomez, from a story by Greg Berlanti and written by Andrew Kreisberg the plot synopsis follows, "Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home."

For comic book fans, they will immediately recognize the poster is an homage to a classic DC Comics cover. In the cover, Superman and the Flash are in a race around the world to see who's the fastest.

On his official Instagram account, Gustin writes, "Check out this new comic cover that @melissabenoist and I recreated. I do believe the recreation is from a Superman/Flash cover, but Supergirl makes everything look better. Don't miss the crossover on March 28! @supergirlofficial @cwtheflash"

On her official Instagram, Benoist writes, "LOOK! It's a crossover comic book cover for the #supergirl and #flash crossover @grantgust @supergirlofficial excited for you guys to see the ep"
