The Season 2 of Disney's Girl Meets World ended with Episode 30, Girl Meets Legacy. Although the finale of Season 2 focused on the love triangle between Maya (played by Sabrina Carpenter), Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer), it looks like things are going to be complicated in Season 3 as the series will show our favorite underage characters getting into drinking and other adult stuff.

The showrunner and creator, Michael Jacobs, has earlier warned that Season 2 was more about friendship rather than complicating things with love. However, the Season 3 is going to discuss love and the underage characters are going to control their innermost feelings about sex and love. Jacobs confirmed to The Wrap that in the upcoming season, teenagers will experience a whole new environment. Season 2 also focused on the love triangle but their complicated relationship is going to get settled in the new season.

"High school is the most confusing, awful, terrible and ultimately -- if you do it right -- wonderful springboard into college and the rest of your life," he said.

It also looks like the Season 3 of Girl Meets World will also tackle issues of underage drinking and sex. However, as the show belongs to Disney, the creators have to take extra precaution when they will deal with such mature stuff.

"As long as this show runs on Disney Channel, we want to honor the people who invited us to play at their house," Jacob explained. "They've been very good to us, and they have let us push the envelope about as much as they have."

Jacobs further revealed that Riley's uncle, Josh, may appear in Season 3 and his comeback should provide more interesting angles to the story.

Girls Meets World is an American coming of age television sitcom which made its debut on June 27, 2014, on Disney Channel. The series is set to be a sequel to the famous sitcom, Boy Meets World that was aired on ABC from 1993 to 2000.
