As soon as actor Kartik Aaryan's debut film Pyar Ka Punchnama was released in 2010, it was a moment of instant recognition. His acting prowess in the romantic-comedy film and helped him in building a connection with the audience. Though the concept of the movie was intriguing enough, his role aided in garnering appreciation. The film's sequel, Pyar Ka Punchnama 2, released in 2015 was another round of benefit for him. And now the actor wants to do some intense work like Shah Rukh Khan did in Baazigar.

Aaryan actor was spotted attending the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2016 in Dubai. During his conversation with the media, Aaryan shared about the type of content-driven roles he would like to portray. And one of them was an anti-hero character like actor Khan enacted in the 1993 film Baazigar. The actor was quoted by Catch News as responding:

"If there is a remake of Baazigar, I would love to play a role like Shah Rukh sir. I would love to play an anti-hero. I feel that apart from comical roles, I should also explore romance, action, but slowly."

Aaryan was nominated for the Best Actor in a Comic Role category at TOIFA. But according to ABP Live, he failed to win the award as it was swept by actor Deepak Dobriyal for his role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Sharing about his surging popularity, the actor owes his success to his fans. The 27-year-old star stated that he wish that the fan following which he got should never stop.

"I hope this fan following never stops. It is such a beautiful thing that I have got a fan following of men and female both and that too after an anti-love film."

Crime-thriller film Baazigar was a commercially successful film and was a major breakthrough film for Kajol, Shilpa Shetty and Khan. The film was directed by Abbas-Mustan and revolved around the story of a family who gets duped by their closed ones and how Khan avenges the death of his father and his infant sister.

As far the reports are concerned, Aaryan has not signed on to do any film in near future.
