The film might be called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but fans are eager to see Gal Gadot's debut as Wonder Woman, especially after there are hints that the Amazonian princess will crack a derisive smile while battling Doomsday. But what is the secret behind the DC superheroine's smirk?

Gadot recently spoke to LA Times, where she revealed that she had improvised the smile to show how Wonder Woman was feeling during the fight.

"I did that," Gadot admitted before sharing how director Zack Snyder reacted to the improv on her performance.

"I remember after we did that take, Zack came to me and he said, 'Did you just have a smirk?' I said 'Yeah.' And he asked, 'Why? I think I like it, but why?'" she continued, offering an awesome explanation.

"Well if [Doomsday's] gonna mess with her, then she's gonna mess with him. And she knows she's gonna win," Gadot said.

The Furious 7 star's explanation certainly confirms just how confident the Amazonian princess is when it comes to battle.

"At the end of the day Wonder Woman is a peace seeker. But when fight arrives, she can fight. She's a warrior and she enjoys the adrenaline of the fight," Gadot revealed.

The Wonder Woman featured in Batman v Superman might be a confident warrior, but Gadot shared that the character that will appear in her standalone film is completely different.

"In the standalone movie we are telling the grown-up story, Diana becoming Wonder Woman, and this was a story that was never told before," she stated, adding that the Wonder Woman movie will show a more innocent Diana.

"When she starts this journey, she's very pure. She's more naive, she's this young idealist who does not really understand the complexities of life and the complexities of men," Gadot said.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent. The film will premiere on March 25.
