Amazon Studios keeps moving forward with its reboot of The Tick and, after casting Peter Serafinowicz in the role once played by Patrick Warburton, there's a new superhero in town for the parody show: Suits' Logan Sanders actor, Brendan Hines, has just landed a role in the pilot!

According to Deadline, Hines is the latest actor to join the cast of the upcoming reboot, which will see a new take on the character created by Ben Edlund. He'll be playing the role of Superian, which has been described as "a superhero with issues," which makes sense if he's hanging out with The Tick.

Besides Suits, Hines has also appeared on Lie to Me and most recently, on the Katharine McPhee-starring CBS show Scorpion.

He joins Serafinowicz as the lead recovering from a memory loss, The Tick's sidekick Arthur (Griffin Newman) and Arthur's sister Dot (Valorie Curry), who grows very concerned with her brother's well-being after he teams up with the blue superhero.

This is the third time The Tick has been brought to television, and the second attempt at a live-action series. The character, a parody of superheroes, was first brought to cartoon form in 1994 in a show executive produced by original comic book creator Edlund. Edlund, who's writing the pilot, was also responsible for the 2001 live-action Fox series starring Warburton in the main role, but, while the show was a critical smash (it still holds an 82 on Metacritic), it failed to get high enough ratings and only nine episodes aired.

The Tick pilot is in the preproduction phase and there's no release date announced but, as Comic Book Resources reports, it seems likely that fans will get to see at least the pilot for the show: members of Amazon's service Prime can vote for the pilots they think should get picked up as series.
