'The Walking Dead' Season 6 SPOILERS: Is Andrew Lincoln/Rick Grimes "Gonna Love" Negan?

There is only one episode left in the sixth season of The Walking Dead, which means only one thing: Negan is coming. The promo for the season finale has already offered a glimpse at Jeffrey Dean Morgan's villain, and even Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) can't help but gush about Negan's arrival. But will the TWD villain actually be lovable to the women in the show?

Lincoln recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where he shared how he reacted when he was reading about Negan's debut in "Last Day on Earth."

"I read the script and I went, 'This is the greatest entrance ever written,'" Lincoln admitted before revealing that the other TWD stars wanted to be cast as the villain.

"All of the guys were going, 'Aw, man. I wish I had gotten this guy!' It's incredible, although it's also kind of unbearable," he continued, adding that he and costar Norman Reedus are predicting that Negan will get a lot of attention from the ladies of The Walking Dead.

"Norman and I were like, 'Ugh, all the girls on set are gonna love him,'" Lincoln confessed.

So why is there so much fuss over Negan? Lincoln stated that Morgan's role is one of the most significant roles on the AMC show.

"We've been talking about this guy for a long time," he said of the villain. "It's probably the most important casting since Rick, really."

But how is Negan different from Rick? Lincoln offered the following explanation.

"Everybody needs a hero, but I think they probably need a really good baddie even more," he said.

Lincoln certainly sounds like a huge fan of Morgan's character, to the point that he somehow admits that he admires the villain.

"Negan's incredibly charismatic. In this deranged society, there is a kind of logic to the way that he is running the place," he declared. "He runs a tight ship, I'll tell you that much. I'm actually very impressed. I doff my cap to this man!"

"Last Day on Earth," the final episode of The Walking Dead Season 6, will air on AMC on April 3.
