New rumors are circling the Internet that claim that Zack Snyder has been fired from the Justice League franchise. This comes after fans started a Change.org petition to do just that.

It is no secret that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has received some less than favorable reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a 29% rotten rating with all critics and a 71% audience rating.

It was reported on Friday that Zack Snyder had been fired from the upcoming Justice League movie. By Friday, we mean Friday, April 1. While the rumors of Zack Snyder getting the boot might be just an April Fools Day prank, it is not that hard to imagine.

Fans have been calling for Snyder’s removal, with some of them starting a Change.org petition to achieve such a goal. In the round robin petition, fans plead with Warner Brothers to remove Snyder, saying:

“Zack Snyder is not the person to bring the Justice League to the big screen. He's had two chances now to adapt DC characters and has produced middling results.”

The author of the petition is also reaching out to fans of Batman v Superman as well, adding:

“Even if you loved Man of Steel and BvS. There has to come a time when WB and DC want someone at the helm that can create something that WON'T divide people in such a way. The building blocks are there for a great different set of superhero movies. Good actors and actresses and even directors. Zack Snyder is just not the guy that should be in charge of the biggest and most important films in the franchise. Especially with his track record now.”

At the time of this report the Change.org petition had 13,514 signatures.
