The CW Network continues with the premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In episode 10, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) join White Canary (Caity Lotz) as they take the fight to Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) in Progeny.

Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) faces Heat Wave in his prison cell. Hunter owes him an apology for failing him. Heat Wave though wants to kill him and Captain Cold. Jax (Franz Drameh) and Canary are dressed in wool to check out the future. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) finds 2147 astonishing as he walks the street with Ray (Brandon Routh)

In the future, Ray's Atom suit has multiplied into a law enforcement agency. Hunter attends the shareholders meeting and notices Savage talking to a young boy.

Cold realizes the team has to kill the young boy to prevent Savage's reign of terror. Martin and Jax are opposed to the plan of murdering a child. Stein warns they will  stoop to Savage's level, but Cold is already there. Instead of killing, Rip thinks they should kidnap him.

Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) has a sudden memory of a previous life, where she is married to Hawkman (Falk Hentschel). In the past, the two are raising a child together but Kendra feels Vandal's presence.

Cold has eyes on the young boy as Canary takes down the security detail. As Cold freezes the rest, Hunter takes hold of the boy. With Rachel Taylor (Jewel Staite) as their tour guide, Firestorm and the Atom enter an institution that honors Palmer. Rachel happens to be Palmer's great-great granddaughter.

Palmer wonders if he had knocked up a woman from his past. He was someone's father and didn't even know it. Hawkgirl has another flashback of her married life. The two wonder how long they can keep moving before Vandal catches up with them.

Rip discovers his plan has failed; the kidnapping didn't change the timeline Canary meets with Heat Wave and tells him about how Cold almost died.Even Heat Wave knows killing a kid isn't very hero-like. Vandal promises the boy's father that he can bring his son back.

Hunter then takes the boy away from the Waverider. In her flashback, Hawkgirl's son realizes the bad man is chasing after them. Kendra feels like she's cheating on Carter with Ray.

Canary asks Cold about his feelings for Mick; marooning him is weighing on his conscience. Hunter points his gun at the boy but there has to be a shred of goodness in Hunter if he doesn't want to kill the boy; that's his lesson.

All of a sudden, Savage arrives  with his team of soldiers shooting at the Waverider. The team starts fighting against the future Atom suits. Back at museum, Palmer meets with Rachel and begs her to stop the robots.

Ending the fight, Hunter makes a trade for the boy and Canary. Cold has his confrontation with Heat Wave. Vandal teaches the boy the tale of Oedipus Rex and hands him a dagger to kill his father.

After beating up Cold, Heat Wave reveals The Hunters are now after the team.
