Nina Dobrev Will Reunite With Ian Somerhalder on the ‘TVD’ Finale: Is Nikki Reed Mad?

While the future of The Vampire Diaries is currently unknown, both Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham confirmed season eight would be their last. A new report revealed that Nina Dobrev will return for the show's alleged final season. So, is Nikki Reed furious that her husband and his ex will reunite on the set again?

“Nikki and Ian are so in love. There’s nothing he could possibly do to upset her," a source told Hollywood Life "The idea of Ian and Nina reuniting on screen for The Vampire Diaries doesn’t bother her one bit. She has no issues with this whatsoever. Nikki and Ian are celebrating their one year anniversary on April 26, and that’s what she’s most looking forward to for the time being.”

Somerhalder revealed during an appearance on April 10 that the beloved CW drama will come to an end after Season 8, which will premiere in the fall. “We have decided to do one last season to really do the story justice,” the 37-year-old, who plays Damon Salvatore, told fans at Nashville's WalkerStalkerCon.

The news comes after Ian's costar, Kat Graham, shared that she'll also be leaving. “Season 8 will be my last season,” she told Us Weekly. “I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me... The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go, because we are a family.”

However, The Hollywood Reporter noted that a spokesperson for The CW claims “no decision has been made when it comes to the future of the show.”

The show’s eighth season was announced last month as part of The CW’s mass renewal of 11 series, including a fourth season for TVD spinoff, The Originals. No decision about TVD‘s future beyond Season 8 has been made.
