Remember when Guardians of the Galaxy first came out and Josh Brolin made a brief appearance as Thanos? Things haven't changed much since the Mad Titan's debut and his post-credits cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, that doesn't mean that Thanos will be hiding from the Marvel superheroes for long, because the villain is expected to have "a lot of scenes" in Avengers: Infinity War!

Infinity War co-writer Christopher Markus recently spoke to ScreenCrush, where he admitted that yes, Thanos will have a bigger role in the two-part film.

"We don't get an element of surprise," Markus confirmed, adding that although the world is already aware of Thanos, the character is still a very mysterious figure.

"Everyone knows he's coming, and yet he hasn't had terribly many scenes that have illuminated very much about him," he said.

Although audiences have already seen Thanos, the Avengers still seem unaware of who the villain is and what he plans to do with the universe. Well, it looks like things are going to change in Infinity War, where the Mad Titan will be the major villain and not just a cameo-hopping character who likes to pop up in Marvel films.

In addition to that, Markus stated that audiences will learn more about Thanos and possibly why he is trying to complete the Infinity Gauntlet.

"You can count on a lot of scenes where we illuminate a lot about him very early," he shared.

Brolin has previously spoken up about playing the Mad Titan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, stating that he is glad that he decided to take on the role.

"It's one of the better decisions I think I've made," he told Superhero Hype.

Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 will premiere on May 4, 2018 while Infinity War - Part 2 is scheduled for release on May 2019.
