With his amazing performance in both seasons of Netflix's Daredevil, Charlie Cox has managed to gain a strong fan following. But when it comes to Daredevil Season 3, even the lead star is unaware about blind lawyer Matt Murdock's return. Could the show be getting cancelled?

Marvel's Daredevil was created for Netflix by Drew Goddard and features Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, the blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime in Hell's Kitchen at night. All episodes of season one were released on April 10, 2015 and managed to get praise for the action performances and the darker tone compared to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Then season two was released in its entirety on March 18, 2016 and introduced the characters like Punisher and Elektra. The show's enormous success make fans wonder when season three will be released.

If current news are to believed then, even Cox has no idea about Daredevil Season 3.

Netflix has hosted a two-day event in Paris, in which fans got the chance to interact with casts of House of Cards, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Dardevil. When it was asked to Cox about the possibility of Season 3, the 33-year-old British star stated that he has no idea about it. He was quoted by Independent as:

"We don't know if there's going to be a season three, I certainly don't know."

At the same time, he did tell ScreenRant that he thinks that there is so many things unsaid between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk and if given a chance, he would love to explore that territory.

"It'd be great if at some point Vincent D'Onofrio would come back for a season. There's so much Daredevil-Wilson Fisk left untold."

However, he did give the update of The Defenders, a TV series in which Marvel's superheroes - Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Daredevil will unite to fight against the growing crime.

"Very excited to see how those worlds combine...and interested to see tonally how those shows become one"

The Defenders will start filming in late 2016.
