The Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn't even begun its Phase 3 yet, but the execs behind the madly successful movies are already planning what's next. Kevin Feige, the head of Disney subsidiary company Marvel Studios, has already confirmed there's an MCU Phase 4 planned that will include Guardians of the Galaxy 3 -- so what will happen after 2019's Inhumans?

Phase 3 is set to be kick-started with Captain America: Civil War, coming to theaters soon. However, Marvel Studios has been planning movies ahead for a while now, and Feige says things will look a lot different when it's time for Phase 4.

"I think there will be a finality to moments of Phase Three, as well as new beginnings that will mark a different, a very different, a distinctively different chapter in what will someday be a complete first saga made up of three phases," the producer told Entertainment Weekly.

Previously, Feige hinted that it seemed like a long shot that the Inhumans movie would keep its 2019 release date. For now, this race of superpowered individuals is being treated at length within the MCU ABC show Agents of SHIELD.

In the meantime, according to Comic Book, Civil War co-director Joe Russo also hints at another big change in the coming movies, saying there's a deconstruction underway way for the MCU. To avoid being "repetitious," Civil War and the future Avengers: Infinity War movies will signify a conclusion in one way or another.

So, yes, there will be a Phase 4 -- one that will apparently most likely include Guardians 3, it seems -- but the effects Thanos has on the previously constructed universe will be quite large, so much that the Russo brothers are considering the Infinity War "culmination films."

Things are already shaking up in the MCU with Phase 3: unlike Phase 2, which was mostly comprised of sequels to previous films (out of its 6 movies, 4 were follow-ups), a good portion of Phase 3 will revolve around new characters to the MCU. For now, there are 11 scheduled films from 2016 to 2019, and only five of them are sequels to previous films, four if we count the two Infinity War flicks as one single two-part event.

It's a relatively small number considering how many well-established properties the MCU has as its disposal at this point.

In any case, the next Marvel movie, Captain America: Civil War, will hit theaters on May 6.
