HBO has aired he highly anticipated Season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones. In the aftermath of Jon Snow (Kit Harington)'s death, Twitter had lots to say about Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) and Melisandra (Carice van Houten) twists!

As we previously mentioned, in the fifth season finale, Cersei Lannister was forced to strip nude and had to be humiliated during her walk of atonement. As Cersei sworn revenge against the High Sparrow and the Faith of the Seven, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) witness the poisoning of his daughter Myrcella. While Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) was surrounded by a Dothraki horde, Jon Snow was elsewhere being stabbed to death by the traitorous Nights' Watch.

In our recent recap, though Ramsay sent his soldiers after them, Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) rescued Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Theon (Alfie Allen) in the nick of time. As Daario (Michiel Huisman) and Jorah (Iain Glen) continue their search, the Dothraki have discovered who their prisoner, Danenerys (Emilia Clarke) actually is. Knowing there will be retaliation over Jon's death, Davos will need Melisandra, who happens to be a decrepit witch underneath all the glamour.

In an interview with IGN, Cunningham explains that ending, ""That moment, that shock value, where 'oh my god this woman is 200, 300 years old, or whatever she is' - to see her walking naked as an old woman, getting into the bed and lying down and pulling her covers over her, in the middle of this madness, it's just the most human, sad [moment]. It's so intimate. It's a little, tired, quiet moment for this extraordinary person. Against your better judgment, because she's an old woman, you think, 'Oh, I might have been a bit harsh again' like you did with Jaime. That's what's great about the thing, right? It messes with your head."

Check out what Twitter had to say:

@patrickdevit tweets, "How about that moment when Melisandre turned into old Rose from Titanic at the end of that episode? #MindBlown #GameofThrones"

@GamefThrones adds, "If your are going to show Melisandre nude, please leave her amulet on. #GameofThrones Sincerely, Everyone"

@BlackGirlNerds writes, "Melisandre when she took off her necklace is what America will look like after 4 years of Trump being in office. #DemThrones #GameofThrones"

@msdanifernandez mentions, "Melisandre has been using a really strong Instagram filter #GameofThrones"

@Terri_Schwartz notes, "I think it's safe to say we'll never look at Melisandre the same way again. #GameofThrones"

@aaroncoles01 recounts, "The last 5 minutes of game of thrones sent me into 3 state of minds Excitement, anxiety and sick #GameofThrones #Melisandre"

Game of Thrones continues Sundays on HBO at 9pm.
