Showtimes's Homeland Season 6 is going to release in September 2016, and the upcoming season will show how Carrie Mathison (played by Claire Danes) will take down terrorists planning server attacks in the United States. If recent updates are to be believed, the Central Intelligence Agency will help Carrie in all her missions.

In all of the earlier seasons of Homeland, fans have seen Carrie working in different regions: namely Iraq, Istanbul, Germany, Pakistan, South Africa and others. But now Showtime CEO David Nevins thinks that this is about the right time to show rising terrorist attacks in USA. During the recently held Television Critics Association's Press tour in Pasadena, David was quoted by Entertainment Weekly as saying:

"Homeland will be shot next year in New York City, in and around New York. It will be set domestically. It will be set primarily in the New York area, but not exclusively."

The events shown in season five proved to the rest of the characters of Homeland that no one can save them better than Carrie. The upcoming season six will show how Carrie has chosen to stay in the USA as the CIA's head for some time, but the rising ISIS problems will soon knock on her door.

According to Sioux City Journal, Homeland's showrunner Alex Gansa revealed that the writing team has decided to let Carrie stay in the states -- but only for the upcoming season.

"We've taken her through so much sturm and drang over the last few years that we thought it would be nice to give her a little domestic bliss - which, by the way, was not something everybody wanted to do or everyone wanted to see on our staff."

Apart from knowing the fate of Peter Quinn (played by Rupert Friend), now Homeland's fan are excited to see how Carrie handles domestic terrorism.
