Making A Murderer has left fans craving more. What will end up being the fate of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey? Will the uncle and nephew duo spend the rest of their days behind bars? As news has spread about Avery's attorneys working diligently to get his release, Dassey may have lucked out with news that he may be released by Netflix's Season 2 premiere.

If you've watched last season you saw that Avery and Dassey were charged with the murder, rape and dismemberment of Auto Trader photographer Teresa Halbach. Many viewers felt that Avery and Dassey were wrongly convicted due to false evidence as well as Manitowoc County's vendetta against the Avery family. Now things have taken a turn for the better. According to the Morning Ledger, due to the nature of Dassey's case and how the confession was obtained fans may be jumping with joy by the release of Season 2.

Season 1 was filmed over the course of 10 years and Dassey was only 16-years-old when he confessed while on tape to the crime. Many viewers were outraged because not only did the police take advantage of his mental state, law enforcement questioned Dassey without his parents present. His lawyers have since argued that the confession was coerced.

"The moment I watched that tape, I wanted to jump into that TV screen and get between that child and the officers who were interrogating him," Laura Nirider, Dassey's lead attorney tells Morning Ledger. "What you have here are police officers who are using psychological interrogation tactics that were designed for seasoned adult criminals on a16-year-old with intellectual limitations."

Dassey's case is currently under review by the federal magistrate. However, there are no updates yet as to whether or not a decision has been made. It as been reported that Dassey may definitely catch a break due to his low IQ and age at the time of conviction.

"We have no idea when the magistrate will make a decision in Brendan's case, Laura Riccardi, original creator of the show tells a panel in NYC. " We do know that two potential outcomes are that the judge could order Brendan's release or he could order a new trial."
