Has Rayna James song her last country song? Well it might seem that way when Nashville heads from ABC to CMT this January. Connie Britton will be seeing a lot less screen time in season 5. In fact, she will get less than half the screen time that she received in her prior seasons. Fans will have to deal with only 10 episodes of the red-headed beauty as opposed to 22, a full seasons order.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the beloved actress has only signed on for a handful of episodes when the new season comes back to the small screen this January. However, those close to the production are very hopefully that they can ge the star to be part of the show for more episodes, which might be possible since her deal isn't finalized yet.

While Britton might be absent from the a couple of episodes here and there, it seems that her counterpart Hayden Panitierre, who plays Juliette Barnes on the soapy country series, has committed for all episodes.

According to Us Weekly, the following other actors are set to also make the move to Country Music Television. Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne),Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott),Jonathan Jackson (Avery Barkley),Clare Bowen (Scarlett O'Connor),Lennon Stella (Maddie Conrad), Maisy Stella (Daphne Conrad) and Chris Carmack (Will Lexington).

Two stars who aren't making the jump include actors Will Chase and actress Aubrey Peeples. According to TV Series Finale, Chase, who plays Luke Wheeler on the series, has already agreed to be part of the upcoming ABC series Time After Time, while Peeples, who played Layla Grant on the show just wont be returning.

Fans will have to tune in to the brand new season of Nashville, to see if Jliette Barnes survived her cliffhanger of a plane crash. The new episodes are set to premiere on January 5, at 9 PM on CMT.
