Samsung is battling to keep up with the likes of Apple and Microsoft after its unfortunate experience with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The curtailed Note 7 is said to have been released too soon in order to offset Apple's iPhone 7, and we all know what that did to the company. Half way into sales, the aforesaid Galaxy Note 7 was already boiling and literally exploding in the palms of new users. Samsung had to cease production of the phone so as to avoid more loses in warranted replacements and damage compensations.

Even after this turn of events, Samsung still insists on releasing its Samsung Chromebook Pro at the eve of other popular and long awaited launches. Here we are talking about the likes of MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft's Surface Pro 5. Although they haven't mentioned the dates nor the expected time frame within which the Chromebook Pro will be released, it's likely that Samsung will want to use this laptop to neutralize the raging hostility between the rumored Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 and the Surface Pro 5.

Judging from the way Deccan Chronicle described the design of the Samsung Chromebook Pro, it's easy to deduce that this laptop is actually meant to fight with Apple's and Microsoft's new releases. The slim all-aluminum build plus a 360 degree hinge are enough proof that the Chromebook Pro will compete directly against Mac Pro 2016 at the least. The only problem is that both the Surface Pro 5 and MacBook Pro 2016 feature a 4K wide display, something that Samsung will have to gamble whether to include it or not.

Already, Samsung has leaked that their Chromebook Pro will be featuring 2K display, as Android Police published about the laptop. If they try a wrong move of featuring 4K display as a variant to this laptop, people will automatically conclude that this is yet another rush decision from Samsung for thwarting its senior brothers, Apple and Microsoft. The last thing that Samsung wants, is people associating any of their subsequent devices to the Note 7's incidence and it's greatly advisable that the company avoids launching this product near Apple's and Microsoft's launches.

Other features expected in the Chromebook Pro are a USB type C port, an ARM processor that supports android apps and 4 gigs of RAM. The display will possibly measure 12.6 inches and will be touch supported. At least Samsung has an edge over other touch screen laptops, since they are very good at producing top class Stylus pens. Samsung Chromebook Pro will definitely feature a decent stylus pen.
