Samsung might not admit it, but they are totally stoned with their fantasy of ever beating Apple. Their leaked Samsung Chromebook Pro can't even be classified as a challenger to any of Apple's products in the laptops category. This is because the thing is insufficiently cooked and shouldn't appear in the same buffet as Apple's MacBook Pro and Microsoft's Surface Pro 5. Samsung is battling to keep up with the likes of Apple and Microsoft after its unfortunate experience with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The curtailed Note 7 is said to have been released too soon in order to offset Apple's iPhone 7, and we all know what that did to the company. Half way into sales, the aforesaid Galaxy Note 7 was already boiling and literally exploding in the palms of new users.
