Justice League, the 2017 entry of the DC Extended Universe, will have a powerhouse cast of characters from the DC mythos. Along with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as Superman and Batman respectively, a lot of characters will also have their debuts and cameos in the movie. One of which is Iris West, played by Kiersey Clemons. She is also set to play as the lead along with Ezra Miller in the solo Flash movie.

With the recent departure of director Rick Famuyiwa, though, questions arise if she will stick around for the Flash film. Both the director and Clemons have a good relationship, working together on 2015's Dope, which could have been a big factor for her to join the cast. Screen Rant reports that Clemons already finished filming her cameo for the film, which is hopefully a good indication that she will be staying for the role.

Another character that will be making a cameo in the Justice League movie is Mera, played by Amber Heard, IGN Reports. Zack Snyder, who is directing the Justice League, will be introducing fans to the Queen of Atlantis before the Aquaman movie, to be directed by James Wan, set to premier the year after.

Iris West is the love interest of Barry Allen, also known as the Flash. Known as a tough reporter for the Central City Picture News when she was introduced in the comics 1956's Showcase #4, she eventually married Allen, only knowing about her husband's secret identity a day before their wedding. And as the last name "West" suggests, she is the aunt of Wally West, a DC character who started out as Kid Flash, then went on to become the main Flash for some time. In the Flash TV series, Iris is played by Candice Patton, along with Grant Gustin, who plays the Scarlet Speedster on the small screen.
