"Pokemon Generation 2" is expected to come very soon as there have been numerous reports that an update from the creator, Niantic Labs, contains the code of additional 100 Pokemon.

"Pokemon GO" players have only an access to 145 out of 151 First Generation Pokemon while the others remained elusive thus far.

Missing Generation 1 Pokemon in "Pokemon GO"

No one has been able to see and catch the elusive Gen 1 Pokemon Mew, Mewtwo, Ditto and the three Legendaries Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. "Pokemon GO" developer Niantic Labs has been mum about the existence and location of these monsters much to the frustration of gamers. There has been no word about their whereabouts or if they would appear in the game at all.

Inquisitr reports that an additional 100 Pokemon will be added in the game. Players and fanatics of the game will be able to discover Generation 2 Pokemon hiding in the code of the latest update meant for December.

Niantic has been rolling out new features for "Pokemon GO" including the Buddy System and spawn time upgrades for Pokemon. Rumor has it that the gaming company is geared to release a trading feature as it has also been found in the code of the game.

Generation 2 is Coming this December?

Speculations hint that Generation 2 will be released this December. However, Niantic has yet to finish rolling out the new updates for "Pokemon GO."

Moreover, there is also no official announcements about the game feature and what players must do to offset is  more powerful Pokemon from Generation 2.

If "Pokemon Generation 2" will be released, there is a chance that Generation 1 Legendaries may be rolled out too. However, Forbes has mentioned that having Mewtwo part of the game will have every player scrambling to have him as he is considered to be the most powerful Pokemon in the game.
