"Ascendant" is the last installment in the "Divergent" franchise and it has reportedly been cancelled. It has been rumored that while Theo James and Shailene Woodley are onscreen lovers as Four and Tris, the two actually don't really like each other in real life.

James is currently engaged to Ruth Kearney and are planning to have a big wedding that may take a huge chunk out of the actor's time and hinder him from doing "Ascendant." According to Movie News Guide, Woodley apparently finds James' reasoning unexcusable.

The misunderstanding allegedly had the two thinking of backing out of doing the last "Divergent" movie. The "Allegiant" actress has also been accused of being the cause of the delayed wedding between the actor and his fiance.

Reports say that Kearney is not comfortable with the onscreen relationship of James and Woodley and apparently supports her fiance if he decides to officially backout of the last movie of the "Divergent" series.

Woodley states that if James were to backout, she would end up not doing the movie too because she feels his character's role is important to the critical success and ending of "Ascendant," according to Enstarz. Moreover, Woodley believes that the changes in the script to make up for the absence of four in the storyline would make the film a huge flop.

It was confirmed by Lionsgate that "Divergent: Ascendant" will be made into a television movie. Most of the cast members have expressed their dismay and shock over the news. Their interest for a made-for-TV version of the film has promptly had them lose interest.
