Selena Gomez: 'Spending Time With Family Is Her Priority' Than Attending Swift's Party

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are pals for years. However, in a report, Gomez chose to stay with her family in Texas instead of celebrating with the "You Belong With Me" singer.

A recent report claims that Swift invited Gomez in her Thanksgiving celebration but, the latter allegedly declined.

Swift, 26, called out for Gomez to be present at her Thanksgiving dinner, but right now Gomez "just wants to be with her family," a source told the Hollywood Life on November 26. "Spending time with them is her priority," the source added.

The source continued claiming that Gomez and Swift are in a smooth companionship. They reportedly have a constant communication throughout Gomez's struggles.

An insider close to the singer shared, Gomez leaned on to Taylor as she was on her rehabilitation period. "They're in touch every day, and they'll be seeing each other soon."

Following a rehab treatment for her lupus condition, Gomez's initial appearance was during the 2016 American Music Awards last weekend. She was granted with an award as the Best Female Artist: Pop/Rock. During her acceptance speech, she said that she would not anymore be requiring validations from other people.

Furthermore, the singer also expressed that she doesn't consider people's physical appearance. Rather, she prefers to recognize what is in their hearts.

After her initial red carpet attendance, Gomez went back to social media and shared a note of gratefulness with her fans and followers on Thanksgiving.

According to the Bramptonguardian, Lady Gaga also extended out to the "brave" singer and applause Gomez for being so vocal concerning her dilemmas.

The "Bad Romance" vocalist said she found it greatly fearless of Gomez to rise up and speaks about depression. "I applaud her," she continued.
